What We Collect

When you place an order with Martin Woodworking through this website, we collect the personal information you give us to complete that order — your name and email address. We do not collect payment card information on this website: orders are paid in person at pickup, so no card numbers ever pass through our site.

Your order details (items, quantity, name, email, and payment status) are stored in our order database, hosted on Netlify. We don't use marketing cookies or third-party ad trackers on this site.

How We Use It

We use the information you provide solely to record your order, contact you to arrange a pickup time, and answer questions about that order. We don't sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Consent

By placing an order, you consent to our collecting and using your information as described here, for the purpose of completing that order. If you'd like us to delete your information or have questions about what we hold, contact us using the details below.

Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law.

Website Analytics

We use two analytics tools to see which pages people visit and how they found the site: Ahrefs Web Analytics and Google Analytics. Both record which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived (for example from a search engine or a link), and general browser, device, and location information, and use your IP address to estimate a country or city. We see only combined totals, never individual visitors.

According to Ahrefs, its analytics does not set cookies or retain raw IP addresses. Ahrefs is based in Singapore and processes this data under its own privacy policy. Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser so it can tell a returning visit from a new one. When you place an order or join the newsletter, Google Analytics is told that it happened, along with the order number and total, but never your name, email, or phone number. If you would rather not be counted, a standard ad-blocker or privacy extension will stop both tools.

Ahrefs also checks this site for technical problems such as broken links, using an automated crawler that reads the public pages and collects no information about visitors.

Hosting & Security

This website and its order database are hosted on Netlify. We take reasonable precautions to keep your information secure, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections between your browser and our site.

Third-Party Links

Links on this site may direct you to third-party websites, including our social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Age of Consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state of residence.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to this page.
